Invitation to Curatorial Network Accelerator Boston
Deeply conflicted going into this curatorial summit. During a moment I’m acutely aware took many years to manifest, a moment when I wish to be so excited to share space and work with others who too have this inclination to curate… I’m going instead because I know there are grassroots curators who cannot go because this is an all day conference with no compensation. I technically cannot afford to go but I also technically cannot afford to shape actions I support but do anyways because it is important to center communities we are a part of that are constantly being erased by well intentioned harmful benevolent practices. Going to reportback. I appreciate some of the people hosting but cannot shake the expectation to offer so much work with no economic or in kind support – especially for grassroots curators whose methodologies constantly being coopted and contributions erased.
